Interdisciplinary Learning Activities

Watch Us Learn!
In Social Studies, interdisciplinary units are designed and developed to incorporate a knowledge view and curricular approach that consciously applies methodology and language from more than one discipline to examine a central theme, issue, problem, topic, or experience.  The curriculum is organized in such a way that it cuts across subject-matter lines; focuses upon broad areas of study; views learning and teaching in a holistic way, and reflects the real world, which is interactive.  Component parts within this framework are: objectives in the form of essential questions; individual lessons that include authentic assessment strategies, and enrichment activities.
