Special Education Department
Parent/Community Workshops
Ongoing Parent Workshop
Every month, the district hosts a parent workshop for those in the
community to gather together and discuss topics relevant to child
development, including social and emotional learning, parenting,
after-school activities and child behaviors. Any member of the community
is invited to attend these meetings, which are organized by the
district’s Department of Special Education and Behavioral Strategies.
Please consider joining the conversation and talking about matters such
as homework, developing a daily routine for your child, fostering
friendships, identifying after-school activities or any other topic of
importance to your family.
For more information about this initiative, please see the attached
flyer. Babysitting services are available when attendees provide
advanced notice.
