Chorus/Recorder

 

CHORUS – Mrs. McKillop

 
GRADES 4 and 5
Chorus rehearsals begin in September and take place once per week before school. Students in Grade 5 rehearse one day per week and students in Grade 4 rehearse on a different day, once per week. We perform at the Winter Concert as well as the Advanced Spring Concert. In addition, we present two in-school assemblies during the school day for students and staff.

GRADE 3
Chorus rehearsals begin in January and culminate with our performance at the Beginner Spring Concert. Rehearsals are once a week before school. We also present an in-school assembly during the school day for students and staff.

RECORDER ENSEMBLE - Mrs. McKillop

 

GRADES 4 and 5

Advanced Recorder Ensemble begins in September and culminates with our performance at the Winter Concert and Advanced Spring Concert.. Our rehearsals take place once a week before school. Students in 5th grade have the opportunity to play the alto, tenor or bass recorder in addition to the soprano recorder. We also present two in-school assemblies for students and staff.

 


ORFF ENSEMBLE - Mrs. McKillop


GRADE 3
Beginner Orff Ensemble is named after Carl Orff, the composer who originally brought xylophones, movement, and recorders into the elementary music classroom. Rehearsals begin in January once per week before school. We perform at the Beginner Concert as well as present an in-school assembly for students and staff.
